Discover a world of resources

Staff at library locations connect the community with computers, hundreds of thousands of books and the right answers to all the questions on the planet.

Douglas County currently has 9 functioning libraries from Drain to Glendale.

No library card is needed to sign into one of about 125 computers to surf the Internet, apply for jobs or play games.

With a card, you can choose from 40,000 ebooks and 250,000 books, and have any available book delivered to your hometown library within a few days.

The libraries also provide 50 databases with expert information, current magazines and newspapers, and comfy chairs to read them in.

“One of the other things we offer is expert staff.  We like to say that the Internet can provide you with millions of answers, but a librarian can provide you with the right one.”
